2017 MTV VMA WINNERS: SEE THE FULL LIST
The 2017 MTV Video Music Awards, hosted by Katy Perry, proved to be an exciting whirlwind of jaw-dropping moments and show-stopping talent. Kendrick Lamar, who had the most nominations this year, brought home the most awards, including the coveted Video of the Year honor for “HUMBLE.” Ed Sheeran also received a statue for Artist of the Year, the award that marked the first time male and female musicians went head-to-head in a category.
The most meaningful takeaways from the evening, though, might not have been the awards themselves, but the messages of equality and self-love that artists and presenters expressed throughout the entire show.
